Many people think cremation means their choices for a service are more limited, or that a service will not be available at all. At Geib Funeral Home & Crematory, that is not the case. We offer many options for personalized cremation services. Enhance a scattering ceremony with a military salute, dove release, or a harpist. Arrange a reception before or after the service, or just the cremation.
Just like traditional burial, cremation requires planning. Our experienced staff can help you make all your cremation arrangements. At Geib Funeral Home & Crematory, we have our own crematory, so your loved one is always in our care.
While we provide cremation services at both our New Philadelphia and Dover locations, our Dover location was designed to be ideal for families preferring cremation. Here, you can arrange a formal or informal committal service at the crematory. Our space is open and non-traditional—families tell us it feels like a fine hotel with room to gather and enjoy food while sharing memories. Of course, all the amenities of our Dover location are available to our cremation families, including valet parking and concierge services.

At Geib Family Funeral Home, our expert staff can help you in making cremation selections.
With traditional burial, one must select a cremation casket and burial urn. Our selection room showcases top quality urns at reasonable costs. For permanent possession, we offer decorative urns to elegantly display in the home and designer keepsake jewelry to protect the cremated remains in a precious pendant.
If you decide to scatter the cremated remains, you are not required to purchase an urn. However, you will need a temporary container to protect the cremated remains until the final wishes ceremony. Geib Family Funeral Home can also inform you of the Ohio laws regarding scattering.
Let us help you discover what is right for you.
