Anne joined her family firm, Geib Funeral Homes & Crematories, in 2002. She is a native of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Anne is a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and completed her bachelor degree at The American University in Washington, D.C.

She is also very active in her community, Anne is a member of the Board of Directors at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital and the Fundraising Board at Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County. She also served as a past president and active member of the New Philadelphia Kiwanis Club and is a past board member of the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Anne began serving on the Quaker Foundation board in 2019. Her faith is nurtured at NewPointe Community Church in Dover.
Anne is married to Greg Dorris, and together, they are blessed with four children, Jacob and Caroline Hanner and Rebekah and Jeremiah Dorris. She believes that “mom” is the greatest title and much of her time involves her children. She enjoys nature hiking, bike riding, snow and water skiing, and playing sports with her kids and husband. She also likes singing and volunteering at a variety of organizations and at her children’s school and activities. On her position, Anne says, “I believe God gives each of us talents and abilities; few are blessed to be able to serve daily using those gifts. I am fortunate to work alongside the best of the best—highly professional and loving individuals who are also using their God-given gifts in a positive way, blessing the lives of those they interact with. We are called to serve and love one another, and I am grateful I have the privilege of doing just that in a community that I love.”
Richard D. Geib, II is the fourth generation of the Geib family to own and operate the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home of New Philadelphia. He is also the visionary behind the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
Rich earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Heidelberg College in 1974 before returning to school to obtain his embalming and funeral directing education from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has been a licensed professional in the State of Ohio since 1975.
The consummate learner, in 1990, Rich became a graduate of the School of Professional Funeral Service Practice of the National Foundation of Funeral Service, Chicago, IL and in 1991, received the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner designation from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.
In 2008, Rich received his Masters of Arts in Positive Organizational Development and Change from Case Western Reserve University. He has continued his studies to include certification in Developing Leadership through Emotional Intelligence as well as Appreciative Inquiry into Positive Business and Society Change.
Also, in 2008, Rich received additional training in Gestalt Executive Coaching and in 2011 earned Certification through the Gestalt Training Program by the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland.
Rich now works as President of Richard Geib and Associates, LLC, helping funeral service firms and businesses develop successful business models.

Nathan Douglas is a native of New Philadelphia, Ohio and currently resides in Dennison, Ohio with his wife, Amanda and their three children, Alex, Zach, and Maegan. Nathan joined the Geib Staff in 2007 after a brief time in the technology industry. Nathan has a Bachelor of Science and Technology from Kent State University, has obtained his CFSP (Certified Funeral Service Practitioner), and is also a Certified Celebrant. In addition to his role as a Funeral Director, Nathan helps to oversee many of the technology advancements within the company. Nathan enjoys working alongside the Geib Team as each member of the group brings something unique to the table which enables the company to serve each family in a unique and meaningful way.
In his free time, Nathan enjoys being outdoors, camping, cooking and hiking, and spending time with his wife and children. He is currently an Assistant Scout Master for Scouts BSA Troop 84 in New Philadelphia, is the Vice President of the New Philadelphia Scouting Association, is a volunteer with the Dennison Depot Historic Landmark, is an active Band Booster with the Claymont High School Marching Band, and a parent supporter of the Claymont High School Drama Department.

While Brian has served alongside the Geib team for years, he joined as a full-time team member in 2021 after serving as a minister at Faith Christian Church. He continues to serve the church as an elder and Executive Minister, too.
Brian is a 1994 graduate of Ozark Christian College with bachelor degrees in both Biblical Literature and Music Ministry. He continued his education at Lincoln Christian Seminary (now Lincoln Christian University) where he received a Master of Arts in Counseling Ministry in 1999.
Brian is married to Natalie and they have two adult sons, Jacob (Nicolette) and Joshua. He is also a proud grandpa to his granddaughter. Olivia.
Brian enjoys spending time with family, reading, and all forms of racing. He is very active in our community as a member of the New Philadelphia Rotary Club. He serves as a board member with both Noah’s Hope Child Advocacy Center and Rainbow Connection, where he is the treasurer
Alan Welch has rejoined the Geib staff as a funeral director after serving as a Regional and National sales manager and trainer for pre-arrangement insurance companies for the past 14 years. He started with the Geib staff in 1989 as a licensed embalmer, funeral director, and pre-arrangement coordinator until pursuing the insurance aspect full time 2004.
“We are thrilled to have Alan back serving our families with love, compassion, and a wealth of knowledge and experience,” said Anne Geib, president, Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. “He is a tremendous asset to our care team and we are pleased that he is continuing his service with our exceptional staff.”
Alan grew up in Uhrichsville, where his mom and step-father, Esther and Jack Gibbs, still live. After graduating from Claymont High School in 1982, Alan continued his education and graduated from Kent State University followed by his acceptance into the mortuary program at Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
Alan married the former Lisa Elliott and they live in New Philadelphia where they are members of the First Church of God. Alan serves as the chairman of the church and president of the Elder Board.
He also has a love of flying, earning his pilot’s license in 1990 and is a commercial pilot in both single and multi-engine aircraft with instrument privileges. He serves as the vice-chairman of the New Philadelphia Airport Commission in addition to his memberships in numerous professional and aviation related organizations.
Nick is a native of Dover, Ohio, and has lived the past 23 years in the Village of Bolivar. He graduated from Dover High School and Kent State University.
Nick is a Certified PrePlanning Consultant with the National Funeral Directors Association and an Ohio Licensed Insurance Professional with over 23 years of experience. He is an active board member at the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, DEC Children’s foundation, and the Dover Exchange Club.
He and his wife, Cara, have a Doberman named Optimus and have had many additional fur kids through the years. In his free time, Nick enjoys camping, motorcycling, cars, working outdoors, bicycle riding, and K-9 obedience and agility training.
Nick has been with the Geib Team as their Advance Planning Coordinator for over 14 years.
Robin Mackey is our Office Manager, Concierge Manager and Pet Crematory Manager. Robin’s pleasant phone greeting is the first assurance to families that Geib is here to help, however, and whenever you need. She is accurate, knowledgeable, and reassuring, a combination of skills not easy to find in one person.
Her passion is serving others; she views her job as a position of care and compassion.
In her free moments, Robin spends time with her husband, Carl, in their renovated Queen Victorian home, enjoys cooking, gardening, sharing time with friends and browsing for antiques. She has two daughters, Heather and Natalie and four grandchildren: Morgan and Marley Metzger, Luke, Madison, and Ryan Hess.
Jane joined the Geib family in 2012. She is a native of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Jane is a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and currently attends St. Joseph Catholic Church. She and her husband, Steve, have been married for 42 years and have a daughter, Katie.
Jennifer Varcolla joined the Geib Funeral Home staff in 2017 after a long career in radio journalism, as well as freelance writing for national medical publications and local newsletters. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1982 and Ohio University in 1986. She lives in New Philadelphia with her husband, Chris. They have two children, Anthony and Sarah, and attend Sacred Heart Church. She enjoys traveling and playing golf.
Vivian Becker, a lifelong resident of Strasburg, joined the Geib Staff following a 21 year career with Buehler’s Food Market. A member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Dover, Vivian enjoys spending time with her three children; Andy, Belinda and Mike and five grandchildren; Owen, Mia, Avery, Drew, and Paige.
When asked about joining the Geib Staff, Vivian explained that her years of food service experience and the desire to personally interact with others was one of the many driving forces behind her decision. Upon further reflection, Vivian stated she understood what a family goes through during a loss of a loved one. Having lost her husband, the late Bob Becker, a number of years ago, she found the care and compassion shown to her family during their loss to be greatly uplifting. She feels that her role as a Hospitality Hostess provides a perfect avenue for her to help others through their time of grief as well.
Peeper Miller worked for 40 years as the secretary at New Philadelphia High School. She came to know nine high school principals and thousands of students before her retirement in 2006.
Peeper, whose expertise is people, personifies the quote, “A stranger is simply a friend I haven’t met yet.”
At Geib, she serves as primary evening visitation greeter and administrative assistant each Saturday.
Peeper is a member of the First Christian Church of New Philadelphia.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, Sam, her two children, Jeff and Robin, and her three grandchildren, Jay, Hannah, and Kasey.
