Jayne S. (Kohler) Ross

Jayne S. (Kohler) Ross, 64, of Strasburg passed away peacefully in the Community Hospice Truman House on December 24, 2020 surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born March 17, 1956, in Dennison and raised in Wainwright, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Thelma (Richardson) Bagaglio.

She was a 1974 graduate of Indian Valley North High School. She spent her adult life in the supermarket industry. Her employment history included Stoll’s Country Cupboard, Ross’ Market Basket, Bolivar Giant Eagle, and several Giant Eagle Corporate stores. Her most recent position was the Curbside/Home Delivery Team Leader at the Strip Giant Eagle in North Canton.

On January 17, 2015, Jayne married Dave Ross. Jayne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her word search puzzles and her favorite television show, Family Feud.

Her most passionate hobby was attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She made every effort to attend every event. If work prevented her attendance, she would demand to be kept up to date by text of the score and how the grandchildren were doing.

She is survived by her husband, David; her son, Brian Kohler of Dover; step-daughter, Tanja (Michael) Ross-Agriesti of Bexley, O.; grandchildren, Alexis, Riley and Lainey Kohler, and Michael and Morgan Agriesti; her special niece, Diane Scherer; and her companion pets, Lucy and Sophia.

In addition to her parents, Jayne was preceded in death by her son, Clay Kohler; and brothers, Angelo Bagaglio and Jerry Richardson.

Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 4 to 7 p.m. Fathers Ed Keck and Jeff Coning will co-celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Zoar, with visitation in the church one hour prior to mass. A live facebook feed on the Church of the Holy Trinity Facebook page will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will immediately follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dennison.
