Zelpha Faye Huff

Zelpha Faye Huff, 88, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Morning View Care Center in New Philadelphia.Born April 3, 1914, in Wainright, she was the daughter of the late Clyde L and Ruth Ellen Meese Reidenbaugh. Zelpha attended Roswell High School. She then married Ralph William Huff, Sr. on May12, 1932. Zelpha worked as a seamstress for Al Boffo-Cardani Draperies in New Philadelphia for many years.She attended Otterbein United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia. Zelpha was a very talented lady, and she enjoyed making crafts and sewing. She made dresses for family members’ weddings and baptisms, upholstered furniture, and also painted plates. Surviving are two sons, Ralph M. (Joy) Huff and Robert D. (Josephine) Huff both of New Philadelphia; a daughter Nancy L. (Robert) Demattio of Hackettstown, NJ; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughters, with one who is named after her, Zelpha Faye.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Huff, Sr. who died December 3, 1983, one brother, and a son-in-law, Robert Demattio. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, from 6-9 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, at10:30 AM, in the funeral home with Pastor James Taggart and Rev. Dr. Terry Downin officiating. Burial will follow at East Avenue Cemetery.
