Zachary Scott Hardgrove, aged 31, of New Philadelphia, died suddenly on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born September 30, 1989 in Marysville, IL he was the beloved son of Michelle Hardgrove also of New Philadelphia and attended NewPointe Church at Dover. Zach had graduated from New Philadelphia School District in 2007 and was a longtime client and former participant of Starlight School and Workshop. Zach made many friends during his years at Starlight and then PCS and made a loving impression on whomever met him. His love of books and music was only surpassed by his love for food, most especially Cheeseburgers and French fries. Zach never met a stranger and was kind and welcoming to anyone who came into his contact.
In addition to his mother, he will be dearly missed by his Grandparents, Jim and Karen Hardgrove of Dallas, Texas; an uncle, (his namesake) Christopher Scott Hardgrove of Belle Vista, Arkansas; an Aunt, Ashley (Hardgrove) Burns of Lantana, Texas and a brother, James (JD) Lumbert of New Philadelphia. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents William A. and Edrys Richardson and James D. and Bama Gene Hardgrove and most recently, his beloved canine companion, Magic.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, Zach is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and the family will conduct a memorial service in Tennessee at a later date.
Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and light a candle in remembrance of Zach by visiting the funeral home’s website at www.GeibCares.com.
