Yvonne Marie Hunter, age 68, of Midvale, entered into her heavenly reward on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
Born in Union Hospital at Dover on January 30, 1954, Yvonne was a daughter of the late Donald Lovell and Maurice and Maxine Snyder Schilling.
She was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and on March 2, 1973, married the love of her life, William Hunter. Together the couple raised four children and shared in 49 years of marriage.
For many years, Yvonne worked as a private home health caregiver. She was a member of Dover First Moravian Church. At a young age, she learned to sew and used those skills throughout her lifetime. She also enjoyed crafting, cross stitch, baking, playing board games, reading romance novels, playing cards with family and friends, traveling with family, and spending time with her grandchildren. Yvonne also loved “window shopping”, watching Hallmark movies, re-arranging her furniture, and decorating her house for every holiday.
In addition to her husband, Yvonne will be deeply missed by her four children, Kimberly (Bill) Hayes of Cleveland, Stacy (Karie) Hunter of New Philadelphia, Matthew (Stacey) Hunter of Tuscarawas, and Erin (Aaron) Couts of Dover.; 13 grandchildren, Allie, Zach, Emma, Taylor, Kourtney, Madison, Eryka, Jaxson, Katelyn, Nathan, Natalie, Lauren, and Grant. Completing the family are her siblings, Donita Sherer of Dover and Tim Schilling of Chillicothe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by two brothers, Bradley and Donald Schilling.
The family will greet guests on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in the Dover First Moravian Church from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM where a service celebrating Yvonne’s life will be led by Pastor Denny Rohn at 12:00 PM. All are invited to share a time of food and fellowship in the church’s social hall following the service.
