Xola Elaine Wolgamott

Xola Elaine Wolgamott, 94, of Dover, and a longtime resident of Navarre, passed away in Union Hospital at Dover on Monday morning, February 24, 2014 following a period of declining health.

Born in Proctor, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Roy and Nettie (Colvin) Hitchcock.

In 1940, Elaine married her husband, Robert Leroy Wolgamott, who preceded her in death.

When Elaine’s grandsons were younger, she enjoyed taking them fishing. She also liked to watch golf on television.

Elaine will be deeply missed by her daughter whom she resided with the past 16 years, Beverly Angel of Dover; her grandsons, Scott (Heather) Angel of Strasburg and Justin (Wanda) Angel of Sugarcreek; her great-grandchildren, Stephanie Swihart, Taylor Angel and Cooper Angel; her cat, Abby; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 10 siblings; 1 niece; and 1 nephew.

Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating Elaine’s life will be held in the funeral home Friday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Union Lawn Cemetery at Navarre.
