Wilma Waller, age 90, formerly of New Philadelphia, died early Sunday morning June 15, 2008, in Beacon Pointe Rehab Center at Uhrichsville.A daughter of the late Edwin and Lucille (Stocksdale) Gribble, Wilma was born on July 4, 1917 at Midvale, Ohio.In her early childhood years, her family moved to Adena, Ohio where Wilma attended school and eventually met her future husband, Floyd Waller.For most of her life Wilma was a homemaker and enjoyed tending to the everyday tasks that involved family care.In her spare time Wilma loved to crochet and throughout the years loving crafted table covers, doilies and floor rugs as well as numerous other decorative pieces.A second love of Wilma’s was traveling with her late husband, Floyd, but more in particular, vacationing in Alaska. She enjoyed taking part in the Senior Citizen’s Musical Band and especially liked a good ham and Swiss cheese sandwich.Wilma is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Richard) McConnell of Tippecanoe, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Jane Waller of Bossier City, Louisiana; a brother, Eddie (Doris) Gribble of Toledo, Ohio; and a sister, Peggy Fouts of New Philadelphia.Two granddaughters, Robin (Denny) Romshak and Jackie (Mark)Lowery; two grandsons, Jeff (Deanne) Waller and Justin Waller; four great-grandchildren, Candice (Anthony) Critser, Shannon (Michael) Robinson, Christian and Caleb Lowery; four great-great- grandchildren, Derek and Camryn Robinson, and Olivia and Autumn Critser complete the family.In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma is preceded in death by a son, Floyd “Jay” Waller; a brother, Melvin Gribble, and a brother-in-law, Joe Fouts.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 form 4:00 â?? 7:00PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Reverend Harry Milligan will lead an 11:00 AM service in the funeral home’s chapel on Wednesday with burial to follow in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.Following services, the family would like to invite guests to join them in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia for a time of food and fellowship.
