Wilma Rosanna Elizabeth Knisely

Wilma Rosanna Elizabeth Knisely, 87, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at her residence surrounded by family.A daughter of the late Emmett W. and Caroline Emma Muehlhoffer Helmreich, Wilma was born April 22, 1918, in Stone Creek, O.She was a 1936 graduate of Stone Creek High School, a member of the New Philadelphia First United Church of Christ, a member of the church’s Ruth Circle, and a member of the Tuscarawas Co. Historical Society. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards. Wilma will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose “job” was taking excellent care of her home and family.She is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Donald W. Knisely, whom she married on December 15, 1940; two sons, Donald W. (Shirley) Knisely Jr., and David A. (Kendra) Knisely, both of New Philadelphia; grandsons, Bill (Shelly), Michael (Staci), Scott (Melinda), Kurt, Heath (Natalie) and Brock (Jenn) Knisely; granddaughters, Michelle (John) Sturiale and Heather (Paul) May; and great grandchildren, Kara and Kaylan Sturiale, Samantha, Logan, Javin and Cain Knisely, Dugan and Baron May and Terry Gibson. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Dustin Matthew Knisely, and brothers, Clarence and George Edwin HelmreichVisitation will be Friday August 26, 2005 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. Services will be conducted by Rev. Jeff Gerber and Jill Lovett on Saturday at 10:00 am in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel. Burial will be at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia with her grandsons acting as pallbearers.
