Willis Ray Dietz

Willis Ray Dietz, 67, of New Philadelphia, O. died Monday February 7, 2005 at Union Hospital in Dover following a brief illness.A son of the late Edward Dietz and Mary Spruell Bryant he was born March 7, 1937 in Fairfield, Illinois where he was raised and graduated from High School.Ray was the owner operator of the former Dietz Oil Field Supply Co. of Dover, O., was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star and the Elks Lodge all of Fairfield, Il. And was a U.S. Army Veteran.He was preceded in death by his parents.Ray is survived by his children, David R.(Sheila) Dietz, of Sherrodsville, O., Holly G. Dietz of Palmetto, Fl., and Jason Dietz of New Philadelphia, O.; brothers, Ed Bryant of Houston, Tx., and Gene Dietz of Scottsdale, Az.; a sister, Janet Simon of Scottsdale, AZ and his former wife Sharon Dietz of New Philadelphia.In accordance with his wishes there will be no calling hours or service. The family suggests memorial donations in Ray’s memory be made to the American Heart Association Ohio Valley Affiliate, PO Box 182039 Dept. 013 Columbus, OH 43218-2039. Arrangements are under the direction of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory of New Philadelphia.
