Willie Beans

October 12, 1992 — December 19, 2008

Donald William “Willie” Beans, age 16, of Dennison, a beloved son of Donald Eric (wife Lisa) Beans of Dennison, and Sandy Menefee Beans (and companion John Goodwin) of New Philadelphia, died late Friday morning, December 19, 2008, in his home following a four month battle with cancer. Born at Dover, October 12, 1992, Willie was in his sophomore year at Claymont High School, where he was a member of the varsity golf team. He’ll be remembered by his family for his love of the outdoors, and his good luck while hunting and fishing. Willie was known to have his line in the least amount of time of any fisherman on the water, and net the largest catch. The wooded area around his home was ideal for Willie and his friends and family to enjoy dirt bike rides as often as possible. Willie leaves behind a family includes three brothers and a sister; John (wife Suzie) Grass of Dover, Jessica (husband Lester) Deem of Dellroy, Kyle Pongratz and Dylan Bricken both of Dennison. He’ll be sadly missed by his maternal grandmother, June Royer Cox and husband Larry of Midvale, and paternal grandparents Don and Sandy Bird Beans of Dennison. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins complete the family. Willie is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Menefee Jr. and his aunt, Pam Cunningham. Friends are invited to call Sunday, December 21, from 1-3 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Bob Mathias will lead Willie’s funeral service Monday morning at 10:30 in Roxford United Methodist Church. Willie will be laid to rest in neighboring Roxford Church Cemetery. Following the committal service, a reception will be given in the Roxford Family Life Center, adjacent to the church. In gratitude for their care, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover OH 44622.Linn-Hert-GeibFuneral Home& Crematory(330) 343-5506www.geibcares.com
