Williaree Hairston

Williaree Hairston, age 89, of Dover, died August 11, 2006, at Country Club Retirement Center.Williaree was born on October 6, 1916, in Rock Springs, Georgia; she was the daughter of the late John and Lucinda Hogens Tate. Williaree was a member and deaconess of the First Baptist Church at Dover, where she was also involved in the missionary society. She had been active in the community of Dover all of her life.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hairston; son, Wilbert Lee Rutlin; grandson, Howard Rutlin; 9 sisters and 4 brothers.She is survived by her children, Thelma Rutlin Grear of Los Angles, California, Hanes (Georgia) Hairston of Midvale, Frank (Banks) Hairston, Marie Carroll, George Hairston all of Walnut Cove, North Carolina. She is also survived by numerous, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, August 16, 2006, 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, 140 Regent Street, Dover, with Rev. Christopher Lowery and Robert Sherrell conducting the service. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Internment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.
