William Thomas Hidey

William Thomas Hidey, 57, of Dover, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 25, 2007.A son of the late Webster Brady Hidey and the late Martha Laura (Hostetler) Harbaugh, Tom was born December 27, 1949 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.A 1968 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Tom had worked as a self employed contractor.He enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes and he was an avid fisherman. His family will always remember the many fishing stories he shared with them.He is survived by two children, Megan Vickers and Amanda Hidey of ; his step-father, William Harbaugh of New Philadelphia; his companion, Debra Edwards of Dover; three sisters, Darlene (Jack) Wolfe of Ashland, Ohio, Martha Ann (William) Kilchenman of Dover and Una Mae (Donald) Fox of New Philadelphia; two brothers, Raymond (Claudia) Hidey of New Philadelphia and Eugene (Cindy) Harbaugh of New Philadelphia; an uncle, Benjamin Hostetler of Dover and many other extended family members.Tom was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Samuel, James and John Hidey.In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation will take place under the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and private family services will be held at a later date.Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and view an online memorial by visiting the funeral home website.Linn-Hert-Geib330-343-5506www.geibfuneral.com
