William O. “Bill” Wiles, 65, of Strasburg, O. died Thursday morning September 15, 2005 at University Hospital in Cleveland following an 11 year hard fought battle with T-cell lymphoma cancer.A son of the late Goldie O. and Flossie McVicker Wiles, Bill was born August 17, 1940 in Rowlesburg W.Va. He graduated from Rowlesburg High School in 1958 and enlisted in the U.S. Army. Bill spent 23 years as the plant manager for the former Kiser Paint Manufacturing Company of New Philadelphia, O.Bill was an avid fisherman and deer hunter as well as enjoying football and NASCAR. He was a member of the Dover Army Navy and the Dover Fraternal Order of Eagles.He is survived by his wife, Mary Gribble Wiles, whom he married Dec. 27, 1989 in Oakland MD. In addition Bill is survived by three sons; Frank (Lonnie) Bishop, David (Rhonda) Wiles, and Charles “Chuck” Wiles all of Morgantown W.Va.; two step-daughters, Denise (Ivan) Wengerd of Strasburg, and Kari (Shane) Schwab of Mineral City; one step son, S. Allen Garabrandt and fiancé Debbie Harvey of Strasburg; three brothers, Keith (Eloise) Wiles of Beach City, Charles (Mary Ellen) Wiles of Rowlesburg W.Va., and Don Allen (Marilyn) Wiles of Roanoke Va.; one sister Nadine Burkhalter of Rowlesburg W.Va.; and nine grandchildren.In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by one sister Ruby Funk, and one brother, Tommy Wiles.In honoring Bill’s wishes there will be no public visitation. Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Kingwood W.
