William Lee Green, Sr., 47, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.A son of Jerry Green, Sr. and Nancy (Severn) Baker, Bill, who was Baptist by faith, was born August 15, 1957 in Dover.He attended Garaway High School and was a veteran of the United States Army.Bill was affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America, having been a Scoutmaster for troop #87 as well as serving on the Netawotes district committee. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time.He is survived by his father, Jerry Green, Sr. of Ravenna, Ohio; mother, Nancy Baker of New Philadelphia; his wife, Dawn M. (Harlan) Green whom he married May 24, 1997; one daughter, Amber (Green) Craig of Frankfort, Kentucky; five sons, Dustin L. Green, Jon Lee Green, Travis Green and Alick Green all of New Philadelphia and William L. Green, II of Dover; one grandson, Jason A. Craig of Frankfort, Kentucky; his grandmother Maxine Severn of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Jenny (Green) Werner of Tiffin, Ohio and Melody (Green) Moss of New Philadelphia; one brother, Jerry L.Green II of Carrolton; and many nieces and nephews.His grandfather, Eugene A. Severn, preceded Bill in death.Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2005, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Paul Schwab officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.
