April 22, 1925 — June 16, 2006

William Jacob Kalp, 81, of New Philadelphia died Friday, June 16, 2006 in Hennis Care & Retirement Centre at Dover following a lengthy illness.

A son of the late William H. and Venetta (Bucher) Kalp, William was born April 22, 1925 in New Philadelphia, Ohio.

William attended New Philadelphia Schools and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Then in 1987, William retired from Joy Technologies where he worked as a molder. He is survived by his loving wife, Mabel (Bradley) Kalp whom he married on August 17, 1946; two sons, Daniel (Sharon) Kalp of Tuscarawas and Robert “Butch” (Valerie) Kalp of Dover; five grandchildren, Rebecca (Samuel) Blair of Dover, Shannon (Walter) Stevens of Uhrichsville, William D. Kalp of Berlin, Kason Kalp of Tuscarawas and Amanda (Terry) Didonato of Uhrichsville; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Hostetler of New Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his parents; three infant daughters; and one brother and his wife, Thomas and Ruth Kalp.
