William F. Anderson

WILLIAM F. ANDERSON, 89, of Oldtown Valley, died Monday morning, March 31, 2003 at Hennis Care Centre in Dover. Mr. Anderson was born in Beidler, OH on June 20, 1913, a son to the late George and Mabel Colliers Anderson. He married Elizabeth J. Jones on Christmas day in 1937 and shared 61 years of marriage until her death on August 18, 1999. During World War II, he served honorably with the U. S. Army. For many years he worked in various areas for Marlite in Dover. When not working, Mr. Anderson enjoyed gardening. He was an accomplished electrician and woodworker having built two homes for his family as well as homes for others. He is survived by a son, Gene Anderson and of daughter-in-law, Jennifer (Terry) Moore; grandchildren, Dale (Gwyn) Anderson, Eric (Joyce) Anderson, Shannon (Shawn) Beavers, all of New Philadelphia, and Michael J. Anderson of Dover; great-grandchildren, Reed and Nathan Anderson, and Rachel Anderson; and sisters, Helen Contini of New Philadelphia and Alma Fulton of Tuscarawas. In addition to his parents and wife, a son, Charles Anderson, several brothers and a sister, preceded Mr. Anderson in death. There will be no calling hours. The graveside service will be at Stone Creek Cemetery, where he will be buried alongside his wife, on Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Dr. William Haggis officiating.
