William Bert Gardner

William “Bill” Bert Gardner, age 73, of Lawrence Township, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, February 11, 2011, in Schoenbrunn Health Care Center at New Philadelphia. Born in and a lifelong resident of Lawrence Township, Bill attended school at Strasburg.A talented woodworker, he made many crafts for family and friends to enjoy. He’ll be remembered for his attention to detail, which came in handy in his work cleaning and detailing the inside and outside of vehicles. Survivors include his former wife, and his longtime friend and caregiver, the former Susan K Green, who resides in Lawrence Township, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Arletus D. and Margaret M. Heim Gardner, as well as a sister Carrie, a brother Walter, and a half-brother Ken. Cremation will be cared for locally by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. There are no public calling hours. To share memories and condolences, please visit the funeral home’s website.
