William A. Cotton

William Albert Cotton, age 93 of Park Village Healthcare Center in Dover passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 in Union Hospital at Dover.Born on November 12, 1917, he was the son of the late George and Lottie (Broadhurst) Cotton. After completing his formal education, he served in the United States Navy in the South Pacific during the war. He then spent his professional career as a machinist for Babcock and Wilcox in Canton.William is survived by his wife, Treva Cotton of Dover; his children, Marla (Kenneth) Page of Dover and Gary (Patricia) Cotton of Castro Valley, California; and his step-brother, Jim (Dorthia) Cotton of New Philadelphia.In addition to his parents and first wife, Dora Mae Cotton, William was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ethel (Price) Cotton; and his sisters, Betty Sacco and Irene Miller.A memorial service will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home Chapel in New Philadelphia on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Inurnment will immediately follow the service in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 70 W.
