Willard Blaine Rainsberg, 61, of Gnadenhutten, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Union Hospital in Dover. A son of the late John C. and Edna Marjorie (Rennicker) Rainsberg, Willard was born October 17, 1943 in Dover.He was a 1961 graduate of Tuscarawas High School. On June 19, 1966, Willard married the former Linda Wolff in Uhrichsville. He retired from OIS Tire in 1998 after 40 years of service in the tire industry. He was most recently employed by Flynn Tire until April of 2004.Willard was the president of the Tuscora Stamp Club. He was a 4-H Advisor and along with his wife, he was an assistant in the vegetable building at the Tuscarawas County Fair. Also, he was an exhibitor at the Tuscarawas County Fair for 49 years.He is survived by his wife, Linda (Wolff) Rainsberg of the home; two daughters, Marjorie (Kip) Hursey of Newcomerstown and Dorothy (Ronnie) Browning of Uhrichsville; two sons, John B. Rainsberg of Dennison and Willard Allen (Charlotte) Rainsberg of Uhrichsville; 10 grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard (Donna) Rainsberg of Barnhill and Donald Rainsberg of Gnadenhutten.Willard was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Thomas Rainsberg.In keeping with Willard’s wishes, cremation will be conducted at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A memorial service celebrating the life of Willard will be held on Friday, January 21, 2005 at 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Rev. Henry Mooney officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral from 7 to 8 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 182039 Dept. 013, Columbus, OH 43218-2039.
