Weldon Weaver

Weldon “Welly” Weaver, 50, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his home. The son of the late Perry and Alma (Schlabach) Weaver, Weldon was born June 24, 1958 at Trail, Ohio.Weldon was a graduate of Hiland High School at Berlin and he then continued his education at The Ohio State University. Weldon was a self employed truck driver whose work took him to all corners of the country. He enjoyed being on the road and exploring new sites so much that he chose to live in various places across the country over the years. Many times Weldon would even ride his motorcycle for long drives when exploring new sites. When not on the road, he enjoyed working on cars and watching auto racing.He is survived by his sisters, Celesta (Kevin) Pyle of Loveland, Ohio and Geneva (Greg) Hochstettler of Jupiter, Florida.Weldon is also survived by two special nieces, Tracie Pyle of Columbus, Ohio and Stephanie Pyle of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a special friend, Nancy Quillen.In keeping with Weldon’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
