Wayne “Calhoun” Calton, 58, of 442 Bahler St., Sugarcreek passed away Wednesday October 22, 2003. Born in Summertown, TN., Wayne lived most of his life in the area. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran having served 13 months in Vietnam, past commander of American Legion Post #494, past-president of Sugarcreek Sportsman’s Club, and a member of Sugarcreek United Methodist Church where he had served as a trustee.Preceded in death by his father Max Calton, Wayne is survived by his wife Leah (Miller) Calton whom he married November 8, 1969, daughter Kimberly (Brad) Wathne of Hendersonville, TN., sons Todd (Carrie) Calton of New Philadelphia, granddaughter Hannah Wathne, Mother Mildred Calton-Cyphert of Florida, Mother-in-law Dorothy Miller of Sugarcreek, sisters; Coe Kelton of Florida, Patty (Armando) Pagliarini of Florida., brothers; Gary (Mollie) Calton of Michigan, Roger (Tami) Calton, of Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.Friends may call at the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church Friday (TODAY) from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Saturday October 25, 2003 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dairel Kaiser and Rev. Barry French officiating. Burial will take place at Union Hill Cemetery where American Legion Post #494 will conduct military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sugarcreek United Methodist Church.
