Wanda Mae Fisher

Wanda Mae Fisher, 89, of New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover died Friday, September 23, 2016 following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Oliver and Elizabeth (Dillon) Fisher, Wanda was born March 21, 1927 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Wanda was employed at Miller Studio at New Philadelphia for 44 years.  Being a devout Christian, Wanda led a meek life and was a lifetime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia.  She enjoyed bible study and reading as well as crafts and traveling with friends during her younger years.

She is survived by a niece, Paula (Dean) Gledhill of Gahanna, Ohio; nephew, Brad (Sandy) Fisher of Trenton, Ohio; many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other extended family.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Delbert G. Fisher.

In keeping with Wanda’s wishes cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.  Private family inurnment services will take place at a later date.
