Wade R Norris

Wade R. Norris, 79, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, October 29, 2012.

Born in Canton on November 7, 1932, he was the son of the late George W. and Marguerite E. (Olivet) Norris.

After graduating from Uhrichsville High School in 1950, Wade honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

On June 9, 1962, Wade married his lifelong sweetheart Sinda S. (Bennett) Norris. They were members of the First United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia.

He enjoyed working for The Gradall Company (the former Warner & Swasey) for 38 years before his retirement in 1995.

Wade will be deeply missed by his wife, Sinda; and his children, Rod W. Norris of New Philadelphia and Halle A. Norris of Dover; and Halle’s dog, Cooper, who spent many hours at Wade and Sinda’s home.

Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 1 to 2 p.m. A service celebrating Wade’s life will begin at 2 p.m. with The Rev. Dr. Steve Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
