Vivian Mary Kendle, 88, of Dover, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 28, 2016 at her home.
A daughter of the late Theodore and Cora (Notter) Martin, Vivian was born September 18, 1928 at Mineral City, Ohio.
Vivian graduated from Mineral City High School and was a member of the Dover First United Methodist Church.
On April 20, 1946, she married Kenneth Kirk Kendle. The couple raised three children, Rodney, James and Kevin and shared 66 years of marriage prior to Kenneth’s passing on July 23, 2012.
She is survived by her children, Rodney (Elizabeth) Kendle of Alliance, James (Joyce) Kendle of Leland, North Carolina and Kevin (Jan) Kendle of Dover; her grandchildren, Nickolas and Matthew Kendle, Monika (Ed) Yadrnak, Teresa (Dan) Metzendorf and Amy (Casey) Wright; her great grandchildren, Logan and Zachary Yadrnak, Owen and Lauren Wright and Landon and Oliver Metzendorf and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth, infant daughter and son, Linda and Arthur Kendle, a sister, Wilma Maurer and a brother, Lester Martin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Vivian’s life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. David St. Aubin officiating. Burial will follow in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal service and luncheon will be held in the Hospitality Room in the Geib Funeral Center.
