Vivian Corrine Loomis

Vivian Corrine Loomis, age 79, of Tiverton Township, Coshocton County, died peacefully in her home Thursday evening, March 17, 2005.Born in Barberton, O., April 11, 1925, she was a daughter of the late William A. Campbell and Carolyn (Kleiber) Campbell. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Oscar Swanson. Vivian met her husband, Edmund, at a Saturday evening dance at the YMCA in Akron and the two were married April 16, 1949. The couple would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary later this spring. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout North America, having visited all but one of the lower 48 states. For many years, Vivian and Edmund wintered in Fort Meyers, Florida. Vivian was well-liked by those who knew her. She was fond of dogs, rarely passing an opportunity to offer a pat on the head, or a scratch behind the ears. Vivian will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lynn Loomis, of Nellie, O, and a son, James (wife Judi) Loomis of Clinton, O; as well as grandchildren Joseph Edmund “Eddie” (Denise) Cacioppo, Victoria (Mark) Lumbatus, and Robbie (Stormi), Nathan, and Gretchen Freund,. Eight great-grandchildren, and a brother, William A. Campbell of Lehigh Acres, Florida, complete the family. Mrs. Loomis will be cremated under the care and direction of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. There are no calling hours or public services scheduled at this time.
