Virginia May Linard

Virginia May “Ginny” Linard of Dover, passed away Wednesday evening, January 21, 2004 at Union Hospital. She was 78.She was born October 16, 1925 in Neffs, OH, the daughter of the late Clarence and E. Fern Hamilton Hartline. May 11, 1940 she married Robert O. Linard, who passed away April 3, 1999.The raised four children, Robert O. Linard, Jr. of Dover, Nancy (Frank) Fisher of Midvale, Patricia (Raymond) Daniels of Dover and the late Richard Lee Linard of New Philadelphia. There are ten grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren surviving. She was preceded in death by a baby brother and her only sister Betty Jane Linard.Ginny attended school in New Philadelphia. She took a home study course from Career Academy, graduating in one and a half years from a four-year course. She worked at Snyder Manufacturing Co. in the 1960’s and Union Hospital in the 1970’s.There will be no visitation or funeral. Following cremation at Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory in New Philadelphia, Ginny’s remains will be placed alongside her husband at Evergreen Burial Park.Contributions may be made to the First Church of God, 824 Tuscarawas Ave., NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
