Viona Nelson

VIONA M. NELSON, 83, died Saturday morning, February 1, 2003 in her Dennison home. She was the only child to the late Charles and Fern Groff Baughman, born December 25, 1919 in Greensburg, PA. Viona graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1937 and on April 15, 1939 she married Raymond A. Nelson. He died January 25, 1998. A homemaker, Viona enjoyed bowling at Alpa Lanes in Uhrichsville, gardening and cooking. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. Three daughters and a son survive her, Debra F. (William) Byers and Lisa M. Nelson, both of Dennison, and Holly B. Nelson of New Philadelphia, and Ray A. Nelson, Jr. of Dennison. Services will be private.
