Vida P. Renicker, 88, of New Philadelphia went to be with the Lord, on Monday, August 25, 2003, at Hennis Care Center in Dover.Born on the family farm in Warren Township, Tuscarawas County, March 25, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Albert Frank and Linda Mae Kaderly Durbin. Vida was married on Christmas Eve, l946 to E.O. “Bud” Renicker, who survives.She was a long-time member of the women’s group at Otterbein United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia where she had been a member for over 50 years. Vida enjoyed traveling and camping, and often traveled across the country with Bud in the family camper. The two had wintered in Florida for the past 24 years.Vida will be missed by her husband, her daughter, Phyllis (Wayne) Pollock of Erie, PA; sons, David A. (Ginger) Christy of Newcomerstown, Garry A. Renicker and Larry A.(Kari) Renicker, all of Klamath Falls, OR; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Emmett H. Christy, who died in l944; and two brothers, J. Lloyd Durbin and Albert Neal Durbin.Services will be Thursday, August 28, 2003, at 11 AM in the Chapel at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, with burial at Sherrodsville Memory Gardens in Sherrodsville. Brian Price of Moundsville, WVA, Vida’s grandson, will officiate. A reception at the Otterbein United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall will follow the committal. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia.
