Victor Joseph LaCreta

Victor Joseph LaCreta, 50, of Beach City, died unexpectedly on January 3, 2013 in Aultman Hospital at Canton.

A son of Joyce Ann (Lemaster) LaCreta of New Philadelphia and the late Vito Joseph LaCreta, Vic was born December 6, 1962 at Verona, Italy.

Vic graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1981. He then continued his formal education at Akron University, Ohio State University and Kent State University. Vic was a 23 year employee of Robin Industries where he worked as a project engineer.

He had of love as well as a great deal of knowledge for music. Vic also loved learning as much as he possibly could and traveling around the world. He will be remembered most for his strong and honest personality.

In addition to his mother, Vic is survived by his loving wife, Melissa (Crowell) LeCreta; his daughter, Megan LaCreta of Massillon; his step children, Nicholas Specht of Dover and Chelsea Specht of Columbus; three brothers, Tony of Colorado and Tom and Vince both of New Philadelphia; a nephew, Thomas LaCreta of New Philadelphia and a niece, Donielle Lewis of Alaska.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Vic’s life will follow in the funeral home at 8 p.m. with Rev. Hugh Berry officiating. In keeping with Vic’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
