Verda M. Mills

Verda D. Mills, age 85, of Strasburg, died Sunday, June 6, 2010, in Union Hospital at Dover.A daughter of the late Gordon and Lottie Mae (Noble) Zeigler, Verda was born at Strasburg on December 6, 1924.She attended Strasburg High School and on September 16, 1941, married Robert Mills. Together the couple reared three children.For a number of years, Verda worked for Garver Brothers and Ray C. Call Company at Strasburg.Verda enjoyed her family and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Linda (Joe) Concatto of North Canton and her son, Robert Mills of Ann Arbor, Michigan.Two sisters, one brother, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren complete the family.In addition to her parents, Verda was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Penny Wallick, three sisters, and one brother.In keeping with Verda’s wishes, cremation with a private graveside service was held. Inurnment took place at Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg.The family requests that memorial contributions in Verda’s name be directed to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, Ohio 44622.
