Treva M. Dietrich Miller, 87, of Dover, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Park Village Health Care at Dover.
Born July 19, 1924 at Dover, Ohio, Treva was one of four children born to the late Henry and Mildred (Riggle) Decker. Her siblings include Lewis, Gene and Robert Decker.
Treva graduated from Port Washington High School and also attended business school at Dayton, Ohio. During her younger years, she worked as a secretary at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base at Dayton.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ at Port Washington and was the longtime treasurer and secretary for Salem Township.
Treva enjoyed square dancing and especially enjoyed meeting new friends and being with old friends during her dancing years. She also enjoyed visiting and being in the company of good friends and family.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her children, Bill Dietrich, Steve (Carol) Dietrich of Texas and Sussi (Tom) Bell of Florida; six grandchildren, Connie Dietrich Miller and Terry, Trevor and Timothy Dietrich and Matthew and Alec Perko; her great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Treva was preceded in death by her parents and her three husbands, Bob Dietrich, Del Miller and Bill Cotton.
In keeping with Treva’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation took place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. in Union Cemetery at Port Washington with Rev. Dr. Robert E. Buckley officiating. Following the service, a memorial reception will be held in the fellowship hall of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ at Port Washington.
