Travis P. Wallace, age 72, of Sherrodsville, passed away peacefully early Sunday afternoon, March 3, 2013, in his home following an extended illness.
Born at Dover, February 21, 1941, he was a son of the late Bert and Elsie Solly Wallace.
Mr. Wallace entered the United States Marine Corps in May, 1958, and earned honorable discharge as a Lance Corporal in March, 1962. He was a life member of the Tusco Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, the former Linda Gardner, whom he wed May 10, 1969.
Their family includes a daughter, Debra (Paul) Shaw of Bolivar, sons; Preston Wallace of Alabama, and Dallas Wallace of Sherrodsville, daughters Lawanna (Brian) Griffith of New Philadelphia, Tina (Alan) Swauger of Mineral City, and a son Eric (Tammy) Lorenz of Dennison.
13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a sister; Patricia Turner of New Philadelphia, and three brothers, Arthur Wallace of Arkansas, Edward Wallace of New Philadelphia, and Terry Wallace of Aaron, O. who completes the family .
Cremation is planned, without visitation or public services.
