Todd Metcalf

Todd Metcalf, 57, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.

A son of Ted and Delores (Mazzalini) Metcalf Todd was born March 4, 1959 in Union Hospital in Dover.

Todd graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1978.  “The Todd Father” then went on to work for many years at Robin Industries as a group leader.

Todd loved watching Nascar and the Cincinnati Bengals.  He collected Schwinn bicycles and in his earlier years like to build model cars.  His biggest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Todd is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Ferguson) Metcalf whom he married September 6, 1980; two sons, Todd (Tina Beckett) Metcalf Jr. and Matthew (Michelle Alborn) Metcalf; four grandchildren, Caleb, Kaden, and Alyssa Metcalf and Seth Alborn; two brothers, Teddy (Missy) Metcalf and Frank (Sandy) Metcalf; a sister, Kay (Al) Shanabrook; a special sister-in-law, Melissa Hupp; many nieces and nephews and his two dogs, Junior and Layla.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Nick (Freda) DiNicola, and Frank (Evelyn) Mazzalini, and Raymond Matthew Metcalf.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 18, 2016 from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory.  A service celebrating Todd’s life will be held following visitation with Reverend Doctor John F. States officiating.  In keeping with Todd’s wishes cremation will take place following the service.
