Timothy R. Haney, 55, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, December 29, 2005, at Union Hospital following a lengthy illness.A son of the late Willard James Haney and Annabelle Reichman Haney, Tim was born November 18, 1950, in Dennison, OH.He attended school in New Philadelphia, and worked as a machinist at Zimmer O. S. P and Allied Machine and Engineering. Tim was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended the First Assembly of God in New Philadelphia, was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW, and belonged to several area fishing clubs. He also enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and watching them participate in their many activities.He is survived by his mother; his wife, Cynthia Wigfield Haney, whom he married March 5, 1973; daughters, Amy (Matt) Harding, of New Philadelphia, Mindy (Tom) Hardman, of Stone Creek and Kerry (Russ Jr.) Erwin, of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Tori and Kaci Blacka, Ashdon and Austen Bailey, Kerianne Hardman, Russ Erwin III, and Chloe and Parker Blacka; brothers, Bob (Pat) Haney, of Uhrichsville, Terry (Roberta) Haney, of Dover and Craig (Lisa) Haney, of Dover; a brother-in-law, R. Trent (Karen) Wigfield, of Dennison; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Evelyn Haney.In accordance with Tim’s wishes there will be no visitation and he will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at The First Assembly of God in New Philadelphia with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. A memorial reception will be held at the church following the service. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia is handling the arrangements.Memorial contributions in memory of Tim may be made to the First Assembly of God, 742 Cookson Ave. SE New Philadelphia, OH 44663
