Timothy L. Van Scyoc

May 20, 1950 — August 18, 2003

Timothy Lyle Van Scyoc, 53, of New Philadelphia died Sunday, August 17, 2003 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus following a sudden brain aneurysm.Tim was born May 20, 1950 in Uhrichsville to the late Paul and Wanda E. Welsch Van Scyoc. He served his country in the Army after he graduated from Claymont High School in 1968. He continued his career at Bank One and most recently at Chuck Nichelson Pontiac-GMC Truck-Mazda Inc. in Dover as a salesman.He will be sadly missed by those who survive him including his fiancé of two years, Sue Garabrandt of New Philadelphia and her mother Ann; two daughters, Sandra (Michael) Dupal of Uhrichsville and Cherie Nugent of Chestertown, Maryland; three step-daughters, Tracy (Scott) Rothacher of Sherrodsville, Joey Biglow of Leesville, and Angie (Brad) Luyster of Canal Fulton; a brother, Carl (Christina) Van Scyoc; grandchildren, Chase Rothacher, Samantha Van Scyoc, Isabella Conkle, Anthony Dupal, R. C. and Alissa Nugent, Mason Biglow, and Paige, Kelsey, and Sydney Luyster; former wife and friend, Joanne Van Scyoc of Bolivar; his “adopted family”, Bruce and Sharon Taylor and family of New Philadelphia; and “the zoo” Augie, Lexie, Murphy, Patches, Skeeter, and Kiki.In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Paul Van Scyoc and one step-son, Tommy Biglow.Cremation will be conducted through the care and direction of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will be held at a later date.The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, P.O.
