Thomas Franklin “Foltzy” Foltz II

Thomas Franklin “Foltzy” Foltz II, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 in Cleveland Clinic following a recent illness.

A son of Jackie D. Foltz Sr. and Dawna J. (Fisher) Foltz, Tom was born December 18, 1968 in Twin City Hospital at Dennison, Ohio.

Tom graduated from Claymont High School in 1988 then continued his education at Kent State University Tuscarawas Campus. Then on September 21, 1996, Tom married the former Wendy Roth and the couple raised two children, Christopher and Kassidy.

He was formerly an employee at Lauren Manufacturing where he worked for 21 years. Tom then went to work for U.S. Wells and most recently was working at Kleen Test in Strasburg.

Tom was an avid golfer who loved being on any course he could and often times playing with his golf buddy and best friend, Dan Huntsman. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Tom enjoyed bowling and over the years he was a member of various leagues at Alpa Lanes in Uhrichsville. He also enjoyed attending motocross races with his brothers, listening to rock and roll and country music and grilling out in his backyard. He also formerly coached the West Side Chargers Pee Wee Football team and was affectionately known as the “Bill Belichick” of Pee Wee Football.

He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his love for making others laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Wendy Foltz; his children, Christopher (fiancé, Kara Collins) Foltz of Columbus and Kassidy Foltz of Uhrichsville; his granddaughter and his pride and joy, Stevie Trout; his beloved St. Bernard’s, Oakley and Knoxx; his parents, Jack and Brenda Foltz of Dennison and Dawna Foltz of Uhrichsville; his siblings, Jackie D. Foltz Jr. of Dennison, Mike (Andrea) Foltz of Dennison and Carol (companion, Mike Cervellini) Foltz of Uhrichsville; a step-sister, Nichole Sankey; his mother-in-law, Maribel Roth; two sisters-in-law, Kimberly (Steve) Murphy of Uhrichsville and Cathy (companion, Duane Kadri) Page of Uhrichsville and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Geraldine Foltz and Dean and Helen Fisher and by his father-in-law, Neil Roth.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Tom’s life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Scot Caley officiating. The funeral service will also be livestreamed starting at 11 a.m. through the Geib Funeral Home & Crematories Facebook page. Burial will follow the service in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville and a luncheon will be held in Park Christian Church at Dennison.
