Thomas E. Bell

Thomas E. “Tom” Bell, 55, of Strasburg, died Tuesday afternoon at Aultman Hospital in Canton following a lengthy illness. He was born November 12, 1948 in Dennison, OH to the late Charles Thomas and Clarice Eileen (Barnhill) Bell. Prior to his illness Tom had worked for several area Manufacturing companies including the former IF Manufacturing of New Philadelphia and Litco Co. of Apple Creek. He was a member of The New Philadelphia VFW and the Millersburg Eagles, enjoyed playing bingo, hunting and making people laugh.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother; Charles E. “Bud” Bell.Tom is survived by his wife, Shelia (Sizemore) Bell whom he married Dec. 31, 1985; son, Kevin E. (Tonya) Bell, of New Philadelphia; daughters, Kimberly A. (Gary) McRobie, of New Philadelphia & Kristin N. (Chad) Swinderman, of Dover; sister, Barbara A. Blackwell, of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Dalton, Mason and Shaina Bell of New Philadelphia, Taylor & Kortney McRobie of New Philadelphia, Jordan Jarrett and Jeremiah Swinderman, of Dover; former wife Brenda Ghee, of Dover; “special” grandson, Timber; and nieces and nephews.Funeral services celebrating Tom’s life will be held Friday September 24, 2004, 1:00PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory of New Philadelphia with Rev. Larry Kaufman officiating. Friends and Family are invited to Visitation Thursday from 2 to 4PM and 7 to 9 PM. Burial will be at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover and a reception will follow at the Geib Family Center. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
