Theresa J. Ripley

Theresa J. Ripley, age 88, of Country Club Retirement Campus at Dover, died Thursday, April 9, 2009.A daughter of the late Roy C. and Minnie (Lauffer) Marshall, Theresa was born at Dover, Ohio, on September 28, 1920.A graduate of New Philadelphia High School’s class of 1938, Theresa worked for a number of years as a cashier for Buehler’s Grocery Store and Fisher Foods.Theresa was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church at Dover and enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, and spending time with her grandchildren.She is survived by a daughter, Julie (Jerry) Fisher of New Philadelphia; a sister, Norma Schmaling of Casey, Iowa; two grandsons, Mark (Jen) Fisher of Bloomington, Indiana and Michael Fisher of New Philadelphia; a granddaughter, Kathy (Greg) Shaw of Columbus; and a special family friend, Karen Riggs.Two great-granddaughters, Mallory Fisher and Nellie Shaw; and three great-grandsons, Marshall Fisher, Ryan Shaw, and John Fellure complete the family.In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husbands, Tom Dickerson and Darrell Ripley, as well as a sister, June Phillips.In keeping with Theresa’s wishes, her body has been cremated through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. A memorial service will be led by Pastor Jim Lewis on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 11:00 AM in Grace Lutheran Church at Dover.Memorial contributions in Theresa’s name may be sent to Grace Lutheran Church, 216 N.
