Thelma Marie Glauser, 86, of Gnadenhutten, died Wednesday, July 09, 2014 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Clifford and Hazel (Lawver) Dyer, Thelma was born August 20, 1927 at Uhrichsville, Ohio. She was a member of John Heckewelder Moravian Church at Gnadenhutten.
Thelma’s greatest passion in life was her family and friends. She cherished the time spent with them and especially enjoyed family gatherings.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Ann (Philip) Roudebush of Tuscarawas and Myra (Paul) Grace of Dennison; her grandchildren, Marcie Dryden of Tuscarawas, Julie (Michael) Pappada of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Stacie (Steven) Widder of Bowie, Texas, Lisa (Gus) Dale of Dover and Michael (Patricia) Grace of Brecksville, Ohio and her great grandchildren, Bailey Knepper and Nathan Dryden both of Tuscarawas, Mackenzie and Zachary Dale of Dover and Cael and Cole Grace of Brecksville, Ohio.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles “Chuck” Glauser whom she married on April 12, 1947 and a brother, Emmett Dyer.
The family will receive friends on Thursday (TODAY), July 10, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and again one hour prior to the service on Friday. A funeral service celebrating Thelma’s life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Gnadenhutten Clay Union Cemetery.
