Thelma Howard, 75, of New Philadelphia died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio.
A daughter of the late Henry and Eva (Hill) Lute, Thelma was born July 25, 1940 in Goshen, Ohio.
Thelma enjoyed flowers, especially making floral arrangements. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Thelma was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Tuscarawas, as well as the Cathedral of Praise in Uhrichsville.
She is survived by her four children, Bonnie (Terry) Veselenak of Newcomerstown, Carol Myers of New Philadelphia, Kenny Myers of New Philadelphia, and Ron (Beth) Myers of New Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Jamie Miller of Florida, Ashley Vidrine of Newcomerstown, Nicholas Caranda of Akron, Felicia Myers of Gnadenhutten, and Katie Myers (Darron Hamilton) of Newcomerstown; two siblings, Earl Lute of Midvale and Harold Lute of Roswell; one sister-in-law, Shirley Cutshall of Newcomerstown; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous stepchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Melvin Myers; her second husband Harold Howard; one step-daughter; two grandchildren, Aaron and Kayla; and seven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 29th, 2015 from 4 to 6p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with Dale Ickes officiating.
A time of fellowship will be held in the Geib Family Center following the service. Inurnment will be held in St. James Cemetery at Tuscarawas at a later date.
