Terry L. Walker

Terry L. Walker, 66, of New Philadelphia, died suddenly Sunday, October 31, 2004 in Union Hospital at Dover.A son of the late Blaine E. and Dorothy (Graham) Walker, Terry was born March 23, 1938 at Roswell, Ohio.He was a 1956 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He retired as a machinist from Gradall after 33 years of service.Terry was a NASCAR enthusiast and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. He also loved to restore vehicles. He also had a tremendous love for his grandchildren.He is survived by his loving wife, Myrtle (McRobie) Walker, whom he married on April 29, 1957 at New Philadelphia; four children, Cindy Silverthorn, Holly Swihart, Chuck Walker and Matt Walker all of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Drew Silverthorn and Justin Swihart both of New Philadelphia, Jory Swihart of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and Sierra Walker of Dover; mother-in-law, Margaret Mcrobie; and his beloved dogs, Spike and PoohTerry was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Ed and Dora Graham; and father-in-law, Lester McRobie.At Terry’s request, there will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 11:00am in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover with Pastor Matt Roe officiating.Friends may send a personal condolence to the family and sign the online registry by visiting the funeral home website.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
