Tania Lynn Shaver

Tania Lynn Shaver, 56, of Gnadenhutten, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family, in Cleveland Clinic - Mercy Medical Center at Canton.

Born in Dennison, Tania was a graduate of the former Indian Valley South High School at Gnadenhutten and had been employed by the Tuscarawas County Child Enforcement Agency. Tania then became a long-time caregiver for her mother, Renate (Schloss) Davis, who precedes her death.

Tania loved many outdoor activities that included fishing, camping and spending time with her mother at Lake Erie but her passion was playing softball and playing in the Tuscarawas County Women’s Softball League for many years.

She is survived by her father and step-mother, Charles “Jim” and Colette Shaver of Uhrichsville; her brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Lisa Shaver of Wooster; two nieces, Danielle Shaver of Massillon and Angela Kerstetter of Wooster; seven great nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.

In keeping with Tania’s wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 5 to 6 PM in the funeral home chapel where a memorial service honoring Tania’s life will begin at 6 PM with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. A private burial will take place in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville.
