Tadd Byers

Tadd W. Byers, 52, of New Philadelphia passed away Friday morning, June 19, 2015 in the Community Hospice House following a courageous battle with liver cancer.

Born in Union Hospital on October 3, 1962, he was the son of the late Forrest Gene and Jacqueline (Smith) Byers.

After graduating from Indian Valley High School, he began his professional career in construction, working for Rob Fox Construction.

Tadd enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He loved to make people laugh and always had a joke and a smile for everyone he met. He could build and fix anything, and was often helping a friend or family member with a project. Tadd traveled throughout the country for work, often taking his children with him and teaching them the trade.

He had a zest for life that showed in every way and will be greatly missed. Tadd fought his greatest battle with courage and strength that will continue to inspire his family and friends for a lifetime.

He is survived by his wife, the former Coreen Hunter; his twin brother, Todd (Amy) Byers of Midvale and his brother, Rocky (Bernadette) Byers of Tuscarawas; his sister, Jonnie Byers of New Philadelphia; his three sons, Cory (Samantha) Byers of New Philadelphia, Colt (Amber Cady) Byers and Chase Byers, both of Gnadenhutten; and his grandchildren, Zavier, Blaze, Kyah, Kerah, Koltin, Korbin, Destiny, and Arianna and one expected grandson, Trapper.

Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. A service celebrating Tadd’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday beginning at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Hostetler officiating. Burial will follow at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia.

Friends are invited to the Geib Family Center following the committal service where a meal will be shared.
