Susan (Susie) Olga Moore, 91, of Schoenbrunn Healthcare Center in New Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord Sunday July 30 2006.Daughter of the late Michael and Susan (Smith) Plahtinsky, Susie was born March 21, 1915, in Goshen, Ohio and a lifelong resident of New Philadelphia.Susie attended First Assembly of God Church of New Philadelphia and was a former volunteer at Union Hospital. She was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to classical music and watching western and sci-fi movies. But most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.Susie is survived by two daughters, Pat (John) Reed and Betty (Ken) Stahl both of New Philadelphia; grandchildren Peter (Michelle) Ash, Joseph (Suzi) Ash, Christopher (Lori) Milligan, Robert Stoneciper Jr., Steve Stonecipher, Cathy Judy, Barbara Stonecipher; great grandchildren, Sarah and Chevy Ash, Allison and Hayden Milligan, Rocky Stonecipher, Amber Halsteade; great great grandchildren Mayson Ash, Breeze Stonecipher, Janelle Judy, Vanessa Halsteade, Cameron Minton; sister-in-law, Lois(Plahtinsky) Brown.Susie was preceeded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Moore (with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. February 29, 1932), brother Michael Plahtinsky and daughter Evelyn Stonecipher.In keeping with Susie’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services observed. Cremation will take place at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory of New Philadelphia. Internment will be held in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Susie’s name to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W Third Street, Dover OH 44622.
