Susan Lynn Gleason

Susan Lynn Gleason, 63, of Dover, died Friday, June 22, 2018, in Hennis Care Center at Dover following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born in Union Hospital at Dover on December 1, 1954, Susan was a daughter of the late Dean and Hazel (Owens) Bartholow.

Susan attended Stasburg-Franklin High School and worked for many years as a home health aide throughout the area. She also greatly enjoyed and was passionate about her work in area group homes working with the developmentally delayed.

She loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren as well as family cookouts, camping, fishing, taking trips to Canada, visiting local festivals, car shows, and outdoor entertainment venues.

Susan leaves behind her family of five children, Harvey Smart, II of Freeport, Christopher (Heather Foultz) of Leesville, Randy (Kimberly) Smart of Dover, Amy (Jeremy) Williamson of Tennessee, and James Reynolds, Jr. of Mineral City, and nine grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Bartholow.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation care has been handled by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
