Susan Agnes Gertrude Anderson

Susan Agnes Gertrude Anderson, age 60, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, February 12, 2009, in Union Hospital at Dover. Born December 9, 1948 at Canton, Susan was a daughter of the late Aaron P. and Mary Kathrine (Reardon) Douglas. Susan was a 1966 graduate of Washington High School at Massillon. On August 19, 1967, Susan married James Anderson and together the family reared two children.A lover of craft projects, Susan busied herself in making special keepsakes that she shared with area churches and nursing homes. It was her inspiration in life to make others happy. In addition to her craft projects, Susan also enjoy attending card parties held by her friends.She will be deeply missed by her husband of forty one years, James, her two children, Mary L. (Tom) Slasor of New Philadelphia and James Anderson Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren, April Slasor, Jeremy Slasor, and Nathonn Contini all of New Philadelphia.Four brothers, Paul (Helen) Douglas, Dan Douglas, Larry (Paula) Douglas and Tim Douglas all of Massillon; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerry and Judy Shear of New Philadelphia complete the family.She will also be missed by her constant and faithful companion her dog, Boomer.In addition to her grandparents and parents, Susan joins a sister, Bridget Douglas in heaven.In keeping with Susan’s wishes there will be no public services. Cremation care will be handled through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.
