Sumner Isaiah Snyder, 19 years old, went home to Heaven on Saturday evening, April 15, 2017 surrounded by those who loved and cared for him.
Born at Dodge City Kansas, on November 25, 1997, Sumner is Pastor Jason and Angel Snyder’s first born son.
Sumner, who battled a severe birth brain injury, loved music, musicals, balloons, going on walks, being pushed fast in his wheel chair, swimming and being spun around and bounced. He had a smile and laugh that blessed your soul…and will be missed.
In addition to his parents, he is loved by his brother, Isaac; his sister, Megan; grandparents, Bill and Sharon Snyder of Canton and Darrell and Carmen Dozier of Mandeville, Louisiana and the rest of their big family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 5-7 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A memorial service celebrating Sumner’s life will be led by his father, Pastor Jason Snyder at 7 PM where a balloon release and light reception will follow in the Dover Funeral Center’s Hospitality Room. Instead of floral tributes, the family has requested balloon arrangements be sent to honor Sumner’s life.
The family would like to express the deepest thanks to all the people and organizations of our community who helped to care for his special needs through the years.
Contributions in Sumner’s memory may be directed to Lighthouse Community Church, 322 N Wooster Avenue, Strasburg, Ohio 44680.
Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and light a candle in remembrance of Sumner by visiting the funeral home’s website at www.GeibCares.com.
