Steven D. Ballentine, 59, of Hennis Care Center at Dover, passed away in the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
Born in Dover on January 16, 1961, he was the son of the late Herbert and Catherine J. “Jane” (Campbell) Ballentine.
After completing his formal education, he was a union carpenter for numerous years.
Steve greatly enjoyed being in nature, whether he was hunting, camping, hiking or fishing.
Steve is survived by his wife, Nikki A. (Barton) Ballentine; his sons, Travise (Kalee) Ballentine, Anthony “Tony” (companion, Katelyn Shoaff) Ballentine, and Logan Ballentine; grandchildren, Wyatt, Ryker, Ellie, Lucy, and Myles; his siblings, Donna (Bob) Wenger, Barbara (Steve) Burchfield, and Mike (Anita) Ballentine; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Friday, October 23, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m. Social distancing will be followed and masks are required at the funeral home. A public graveside service will be held in Dover Burial Park on Saturday, October 24 beginning at 10 a.m.
