Steve Eugene Sickels

Steve Eugene Sickels, 57, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.A son of the late Richard and Mildred (Boitnott) Sickels, Steve was born October 2, 1953 in Union Hospital at Dover.Steve was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.He is survived by his wife, Marie Haynes, of the home; three children, Steve Eugene Sickels II of New Philadelphia, Sadie (Kyle) Gibson of Port Washington and Shane Sickels of New Philadelphia; a sister, Marsha Harig and two brothers, Rick and Jeff Sickels all of Uhrichsville.Steve was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Corporal Shawn M. Sickels who passed away March 30, 2011 while stationed active duty at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A private family service will be held and cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.
